IAHR and the Congress Organising Group invite you to take part in the 41st IAHR World Congress in Singapore from 22 to 27 June 2025. Themed "Innovative Water Engineering for Sustainable Development", the Congress will focus on the importance of innovative water engineering towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and targets related to water resources. By placing a spotlight on innovative water engineering, the event aims to contribute to the advancement of these SDGs in both rural and urban environments, towards a resilient society for the well-being of current and future generations.
The Congress shall be organized around two main themes: Water Engineering and Technological Innovations and Water Engineering and Socio-Economic Considerations, together with the relevant subthemes.
The 41st IAHR World Congress organizers look forward to your contributions and meeting you all in June 2025 in Singapore.
SUBMISSION PROCESS

Extended Abstract Submission (Closed)
The extended abstract submission process is now closed. All submitted abstracts have undergone peer review, and authors have been being notified of their acceptance status. Accepted extended abstracts will be presented as oral or poster presentations during the Congress. Extended abstracts accepted as posters will not be included in the Proceedings.
Extended abstracts will be included in a Book of Abstracts for internal organizational purposes only.
For extended abstracts to be presented at the Congress, the presenting author of each accepted extended abstract must be fully registered by 28 February 2025.

Full Paper Submission (Open) [*Optional]
Authors of accepted extended abstracts for oral presentations are invited to submit a paper longer than 4 pages for inclusion in the Congress. Submission of a paper is optional and not required for participation in the conference. The full paper submission is open until 15 March 2025. All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed for final acceptance.

Evaluation process
In order to comply with the transparency and publicity requirements of the main Proceedings Evaluation Indexes, below is a brief description of what the evaluation process will be like.
The International Scientific Group (ISG) and the International Scientific Committee (ISC) link to the corresponding section manage a review process consisting of a formal and rigorous single-blind peer-review.
The review process follows the IAHR Publications Ethics and Malpractice Statement; if needed, COPE guidelines will be followed for more complex decisions.
Proceedings
After you are notified that your Extended Abstract has been accepted as an Oral Presentation, you can decide if you wish to send a Paper (longer than 4 pages) to be included in the Proceedings of the 41st IAHR World Congress. Extended abstracts accepted only as Posters will not be included in the Proceedings.
The Proceedings of the 41st IAHR World Congress will include the Papers accepted after the evaluation process of the submitted papers.
Proceedings will be registered with an ISSN and ISBN. Each single paper will be assigned with individual direct object identifiers (DOI).
IAHR World Congress Proceedings are indexed in Scopus!
2025 IAHR World Congress will be submitted for evaluation to Engineering Village and Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
SPECIAL ISSUES FROM IAHR JOURNALS
IAHR is pleased to announce the publication of several dedicated collections of papers from the 41st IAHR World Congress. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process in accordance with the journals’ standards, regardless of the Congress review process. Please note that if your full paper is included in the Proceedings, it is expected to be a variation of at least 60% of the content.
